Festival of Choral Evensong

On Sunday 23rd November at 6pm a ‘Festival of Choral Evensong‘ will take place at All Saints Fulham church bringing together the choirs of St Martin-in-the-Fields, St Luke’s Chelsea and All Saints Fulham to support the churches’ work with the homeless in the capital.

St Luke’s Chelsea and All Saints Fulham are both committed to the West London Churches’ Homeless Concern which runs night shelters in churches throughout West London. St Martin-in-the-Fields is home to ‘Connection at St Martins’, which works with the homeless in the centre of London.

The 60-strong joint Choir will sing Blest Pair of Sirens by the English composer Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry. Parry wrote the piece for a concert to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887.

The video is the Choir of Westminster Abbey and Chapel Royal singing at the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in 2011.
