Palm Sunday: Voices of The Passion

Palm Sunday
On Sunday 24 March instead of Choral evensong, All Saints Fulham Church will host a free concert – Voices of The Passion – at 6pm.

The concert consists of a series of monologues written by Rev Chris Eyden of the Parish of Putney to refresh our perceptions of the events of Good Friday through the words of people who met Jesus that last day of his life.

Five professional actors – Harry Gostelow, Nick Waring, Sophie Waring, Amanda Waring and Nicholas Rowe will read monologues as Judas, Simon Peter, Pilate’s wife, Mary Magdelene, and Joseph of Arimathea respectively.

The concert is free and there will be a retiring collection in aid of All Saints Fulham Church campaign to restore its medieval tower and bells – Save Our Tower and Bells

The music will be led by All Saints Fulham Choir with the Tamesis String Quartet and violinist, Alexa Kidd-May.

One of the pieces sung on the night, will be from Mendelssohn’s Elijah.

For He shall give His angels charge over thee; that they shall protect thee in all ways thou goest; that their hands shall uphold and guide thee, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone
