A Day Out in Lambeth

On Tuesday 16 October, All Saints Church Fulham Choir were honoured to sing in front of The Most Reverend Archbishop Rowan Williams at Lambeth Palace.

The Choir sang 2 anthems: Ubi caritas by Duruflé and Almighty and Everlasting God by Gibbons.

This opportunity arose courtesy of Dr Martin Neary, former organist of Westminster Abbey and Organist Emeritus of All Saints Fulham, who was receiving a Doctor of Music (DMus) at the 2012 Lambeth Degree award ceremony.

Dr Neary was honoured

In recognition of his outstanding contribution at national and international level as an organist and conductor and of his sensitive and dynamic interpretation of sacred and secular music in the choral tradition.

Also honoured during the same ceremony was Dr Francis Jackson composer and organist.

About All Saints Fulham Choir

The All Saints Fulham Church is the home of three choirs. A traditional Parish Choir who sing wide-ranging repertoire which spans nine centuries and tours regularly at home and abroad; a Gospel Choir who sing a mixture of contemporary and traditional gospel styles, and a junior choir for children from Year 3 upwards.
