Thank You for the Music

On Sunday 29th January, we bid a fond farewell to our Choir Director, Ian Keatley.

The Choir will be sad to see Ian go but we are grateful for the excellent work he has done during his time at All Saints, Fulham. Ian is leaving Fulham to become Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin.

He has ensured that we live up to the quote from St Augustine that he wrote in our Christmastide psalm booklets.

Qui cantat, bis orat

This quote translates to “The one who sings, prays twice”

At evensong, the Choir will sing Blest Pair of Sirens by the English composer Sir Charles Hubert Parry. Written in 1887, Parry set to music the John Milton poem At Solemn Musick for a concert for Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee to celebrate her 50th year on the throne.
